ClaroCal

ClaroCal is a web app that turns your to-do list into a realistic, time-blocked day and keeps it in two-way sync with your Google Calendar.

What ClaroCal does

ClaroCal is a daily planner for people who use Google Calendar. You add the things you need to get done, and ClaroCal places each task into an open slot on your calendar, working around the meetings you already have. When a meeting moves, ClaroCal replans the rest of your day around it.

Every task you schedule in ClaroCal becomes a real, editable event on your Google Calendar, and every change flows both ways. Move a task block in Google Calendar and the task updates in ClaroCal. Reschedule or delete a task in ClaroCal and the calendar event follows.

ClaroCal is operated by Victoria Garland Creative Inc. The app runs at app.clarocal.com. ClaroCal starts at $6 per month (Essential), with Plus at $10 and Power at $16. Every plan has a 14-day trial. You can create an account and start planning at app.clarocal.com.

How it works

1. Sign in with Google and connect your calendar. ClaroCal finds your primary Google Calendar and links it.
2. Add your tasks. Give each one a title and a rough duration.
3. ClaroCal plans your day. It reads which times you are already booked and places each task in genuinely free time, never on top of an existing commitment.
4. Your plan lives in Google Calendar. Each scheduled task appears as a real calendar event, and stays in sync as either side changes.

Why ClaroCal needs access to your Google Calendar

Connecting Google Calendar is the core of the product, not an optional extra. Two-way sync is not possible with read-only access, so ClaroCal asks for the narrowest permissions that let it do the job:

• https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.events lets ClaroCal create a calendar event when you schedule a task, update or move that event when you reschedule, delete it when you remove the task, and receive change notifications so edits you make in Google Calendar flow back into ClaroCal.
• https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.events.freebusy lets ClaroCal read your free and busy windows so it can place task blocks in genuinely free time. It reads only busy and free intervals, never event details, titles, or attendees.
• openid, email, and profile create your ClaroCal account, identify you, and sign you in.

ClaroCal deliberately does not request the full calendar scope. It never creates or shares calendars, and never touches calendar settings or permissions.

How ClaroCal handles your data

ClaroCal uses Google user data only to provide the scheduling and sync features described above. We do not sell it, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not use it to train AI or machine learning models. In particular, we do not use Google Workspace API data, whether raw, aggregated, or derived, to develop, improve, or train generalized or non-personalized AI or machine learning models. Google OAuth tokens are stored encrypted at rest.

You can disconnect Google at any time from your ClaroCal settings, or revoke access directly from your Google account permissions page. To request deletion of your data, email support@victoriagarland.ca.

ClaroCal’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
